Noventi Ventures was founded in 2002 by Giacomo Marini to manage venture and private equity investment and to advise growth companies. It currently primarily manages own family assets.
We are an investment firm focused on building successful companies though the partnership we establish with entrepreneurs.
Leveraging decades of operating experience and a global network of resources, we help guide our companies though the many seen and unseen challenges of growth.
We have expanded our investment scope to broader asset classes, including real estate, public equities, funds and alternative investments.
Noventi Name and Logo
Noventi name was invented and first used by Noventi LLC and its affiliates in 2006. Noventi embodies both “novus,” as innovation, the fundamental ingredient of a technology startup, and “venture,” an undertaking that is dangerous, daring, or of uncertain outcome; a business enterprise involving risk in expectation of gain.
We believe our logo suggests an energetic and dynamic mindset, while at the same time promoting wise and confident decisions; yet not afraid to take risks and to be different.
The logo was designed by Timothy Wilkinson, the designer of the 1988 Logitech logo that set a provocative new direction for branding in the computer industry.
Over the years, people who have been contributors on the Noventi team include: Nyssa Brennan, Geri Brown, Marie Drez, Pierluigi Ferrero, James Horn, Masa Ishii, Pietro Lomazzi, Ed Niehaus, Simone Rizzi, Pierluigi Zappacosta.
Giacomo is the Chairman/CEO of Noventi.
He also serves on the Board of NextLabs, iPost, Joinrs and Nexent.
From 2013 to 2017 he was Chairman and CEO of Neato Robotics, a home robot company, acquired by Vorwerk in 2017. Previously, he was Chairman since 2006.
Prior to Noventi Giacomo was a private venture investor. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of two private companies.
In 1981, Giacomo co-founded Logitech (Nasdaq:LOGI; SIX:LOGN). He was with the company until 1992 as a Director and member of the management team launching Logitech and driving it to become a world leader in personal peripherals. He served most recently as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer. Earlier, he was Executive Vice President, Engineering and Operations; and Vice President of Engineering.
Prior to Logitech, Giacomo was with IBM and Olivetti, where he was involved in the development of early relational database management systems.
